# Privacy Policy

**Quit Smoking: Break the Habit**

This app helps you quit smoking. It was built to be calm and private: it has no
accounts, no login, and no advertising. This policy explains, in plain language,
what happens to your data.

The short version: **almost everything stays on your phone.** The only thing that
ever leaves your device is anonymous, aggregate usage analytics that cannot be
tied back to you.

## Information stored only on your device

When you set up and use the app, you provide things like your quit date, how many
cigarettes you used to smoke a day, the price of a pack, the cravings you breathe
through and how they turned out, your check-ins, and how you're feeling.

**This information is stored only on your device.** It is never uploaded to us or
to anyone else. We cannot see it. If you delete the app, this information is
deleted with it.

## Anonymous analytics

To understand how the app is used and where people get stuck, we use
**[TelemetryDeck](<https://telemetrydeck.com/privacy/>)**, a privacy-focused
analytics service. TelemetryDeck is designed to measure app usage without
identifying individual people. It does not use advertising cookies, does not track
you across other apps or websites, and stores its data in the European Union.

Through TelemetryDeck we collect:

- **An anonymous identifier** — a randomly generated value that lets us count
  unique installs. It is not your name, your email, or your Apple ID, and it is
  not linked to your identity.
- **Product interaction** — which screens you open, how far you get through
  setup, and which actions you take (for example, opening the paywall or
  completing a craving session).
- **Coarse, bucketed context** — attached to the events above so we can compare
  broad groups: roughly how long since you quit (as a range), roughly how many
  cigarettes a day (as a range), and your subscription state (free, trial, or
  premium). These are ranges, never exact values, and never free text.

We do **not** collect your name, email address, phone number, precise location,
health records, contacts, or any text you type. This analytics data is **not
linked to your identity** and is **not used to track you.**

## Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by **Apple** through the App Store. Payment is handled
entirely by Apple — we never see or store your payment details. The app only knows
whether you currently have an active subscription, so it can unlock premium

## No tracking, no ads

We do not show advertising, and we do not track you across other companies' apps
or websites. Because of this, the app does not ask for App Tracking Transparency
permission.

## Your choices

- Your on-device information can be removed at any time by **deleting the app.**
- The analytics described above are anonymous and aggregate. Because they are not
  linked to you, they cannot be traced back to an individual person to be
  retrieved or deleted on request.

## Children

This app is not directed at children and is not intended for use by children.

## Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
